What a Gift! A SUNA Height Restriction Victory in time for the holidays!

On December 14, 2009, The City Council and Mayor (in a final vote of 5-3), voted to put in place in 30 days a building height limit of 35 feet south of 19th in R-3 and R-4 zoned parcels, a 50 foot limit for the first half block north of 19th, and a  65 foot limit from that point to  18th.  This will permit the building of student housing adjacent to campus, while going a great distance in preventing gigantic, out-of-scale developments and the impacts they would create.
