Welcome to the South University Neighborhood Association (SUNA) website for Eugene, Oregon. SUNA is the elected board representing the South University Neighborhood (SUN) in Eugene, Oregon. Our neighborhood is located just south of the University of Oregon and is defined by the following boundaries: east side of Patterson Street, south side of 18th Avenue, west side of Agate Street, and the north side of 24th Avenue. The SUN includes Edison Elementary School, Silver Screen Video rental, The Very Little Theater, First Congregational Pre-school, the Eugene YMCA and University Park. The SUNeighbors include UO students, Families with school age children, Faculty and staff at the UO and LCC, Professionals and Retirees in a fairly even mix. The SUN is an historic Eugene neighborhood noted for it’s tree lined and side walked streets, abundance of architecture styles and beautiful landscaping, proximity to the UO and downtown, and for being home to one of the top rated elementary schools in Oregon! We also pride ourselves on our ability to work together to improve our livability. The SUNA mission is to help facilitate communications between neighbors, the University, the City of Eugene and other neighborhoods. We hold monthly meetings and twice annual general public OPEN HOUSE meetings. Board member are elected for two year terms. Please join us!
