The house was first occupied by Dr. Carl Smith, a retired dentist, It was built by D.L. Kelly in the English Cottage Style with stucco on the first story and shingles on the second.
The Gardners of Gardner Floor Coverings Company and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Adair also one lived at this residence.
